When i made the review of the year 2012, i had plenty of offcut clips. This video has been made from the bits that were cut. It should be all new footage, i hope you enjoy it!

Once again, thanks for watching.

Models include Aeromod Voltij, Nyx Furio 3.2m, Tangent Alpina 4m, Tangent Vortex 5m, Swift S1 5m, HS Stingray, Multiplex Acrostar.

Here is the original version.

Spring Soaring

Its still very cold in the UK. A light NE wind, which put the flying on the north slope. This isnt my favourite slope as its covered with trees and quite challenging, especially the landing, as it is on a narrow ridge. The covering of trees on the slope means one mistake and you have a major headache recovering the model, where ever it goes down.
A point of note is this is the first video ive shot with my sony Nex camera. I used a head mounting system, and since it was the first try, alignment is not exactly perfect. But it gave some good shots. I used 16mm, 24mm and 42mm. It was recorded at 1080 25p and rendered at 720 25P using Sony Vegas. At 42mm, it gave some great shots, but most of the footage was junked as it was out of shot. It will take some time before i get familiar of the alightments at various focal lengths.
It captured the light pretty well, it was very high contrast, with some bright and very dark patches. I used F8, centre weighted metering and -0,5 exposure compensation.

Memorial

So its cold, its windy, flying is cancelled, so lets get creative. I grabbed an hour and took my camera to the park in the snow and recorded the march wintery weather. Enjoy.

Thanks to all those souls who gave their lives in the great world wars, this is my tribute.

More Building

No flying, just rain and snow. So as a cheery ho, i bought some new toys. Ive been after a mid size 3d and mini 3d plane, so finally pulled trigger on a Mini Crack Yak, span 2ft, weight 80g, and SBach, span 39 inch, weight 450g. Heres the build so far.

Sunset at the Clubhouse

Perfect conditions for flying.
After playing tennis with the family, i showed them what the Crack Pitts will do.
Beautiful evening light and 15C meant tshirts on and a taste of spring to come. Cant wait!
Its a little long so pull up a chair, pick up a tea, put the player on full screen HD, crank up the volume and watch the Pitts play.
Enjoy!
