Perfect Day – 1/3 Swift S1 Aerobatics on the Great Orme
Enjoying and sharing the beauty of slope soaring, on a perfect day, at the Great Orme, North Wales:
Once in a while you get a perfect day on the slope, when the slope, the scenery, the model, the conditions, the company all align. This was one such day. Thanks to Simon for allowing us all to the share the beauty of his Swift S1.
Pilots Simon, Tim and Jimbo.
Video/Editing Jimbo.
My entry in the RCG slope aerobatics competition, please vote for me!

ASW 20 4.2m 1/4 Scale
This is a model i was very lucky to obtain second hand. It is a beautifully finished full house scale glider, made my Glasflugel of Germany in the 1980s. It is fully moulded and my favourite model.
After some refurbishment, including a fit out with new digital servos all round, it was finally flown at Long Mynd, Wind 18-20 mph. It is 1/4 scale.
The model is the version with the wing tips extension, the full size being 16.68m wingspan.
Here is the video.

ASW15 At Long Mynd
This is a beautiful Airworld ASW15, of 5m wingspan and 1/3 scale, at Long Mynd, Shropshire, flown in a very scale manner by its owner. Wind was 15-18mph.

Pilatus B4 1/3.3 Scale at Rhossili Down, Wales
This is a beautiful scale pilatus, which is the Karel Vegencraft kit. It is fully moulded. It is 4.5m wingspan.
This is the glider that got me into RC scale slope soaring. After having a long go on the sticks of this baby, thanks to the generosity of its owner, i was hooked for life.
