Best of 2012 – Directors Cut
When i made the review of the year 2012, i had plenty of offcut clips. This video has been made from the bits that were cut. It should be all new footage, i hope you enjoy it!
Once again, thanks for watching.
Models include Aeromod Voltij, Nyx Furio 3.2m, Tangent Alpina 4m, Tangent Vortex 5m, Swift S1 5m, HS Stingray, Multiplex Acrostar.
Here is the original version.
Big 35mph wind hits Burton Dassett
A good day on the local slope, and a solid 30mph wind, meant the big wind slope aerobat was out.
Great fun, if it was a rather gloomy and overcast day in the middle of winter. Very quiet, only the die hard slopers ventured out to the slope.
Wind was 35mph straight on the hill.
A rather unexpected landing but no damage ensues as i managed to just recover before the ground approached whilst stalled. I must remember to spin from higher altitude with this model as it takes some time to recover, otherwise it will be in bits … again …
Flying my GV60 which has a X tail modification with a full belly of ballast in 35mph gusty wind.
She handled the wind fanstatically well, cant wait to get this baby DSing.
Shes also very aerobatic and can flip and spin up there with the best of them.

If I Could Fly
A bumper day on the local slope. 5 Models flown and no damage. Boomer thermals, bumper slope lift 15-20mph. Awesome day.
First Up was the swiss fish and the sweasel.
Then out with the high wind ships as the thermal activity intensitied and lift became ballistic.

Multiplex Akrostar Slope Soaring
Sometimes planes are indestructible. I cant remember how many times this old bird has been stuffed into the hill. Too many i care to remember.
The last time i thought was the end, but no..
She flies better than ever and carries more ballast, and is still one of my favourite ships.
Today was poor lift the wind was wnw, which is over 45 degrees off slope. Scratch around, find a thermal get some height then hoon about was the order of day.
Of course my favourite ship, gets some favourite tunes, by the Stones.

Epic Edge
Its was epic day on the local slope edge hill, straight on the slope, wind solid 30 gusting 40 mph, i got my high wind toys out
First up was the Acrostar. I tried some tumbling.
The more i fly this bird, the more i love it, and to think i nearly threw it in the trash can when i piled it in last year.
The nyx was loaded full and some fun was had.

Acrostar on Rhossili Down
Had a few days break down in the Gower and took my Acrostar and Voltij to Rhossili Down. I was dead lucky that one of the days wind was a stonking 30mph westerley and straight on the slope, it was slope heaven. I got to compare the two aerobats in epic slope lift.
The acrostar was sensational, here it is in 30mph. I love this plane and is the only one id replace in a heartbeat if i bust it( if i could find one).
