Swiss Fish Remaiden

This is the maiden flight of my Swiss fish after a bit of a refurb.
I cut the wings down by 6 inches, recovered and applied some decals.

She flew superbly, light wind performance was not affected she is as good as scratching as the longer wingspan, but when the thermals came through she was superb!

Jus slopin, this is why we do it.

Interesting bit on here when the fish buzzes a inquisitive dog.

If I Could Fly

A bumper day on the local slope. 5 Models flown and no damage. Boomer thermals, bumper slope lift 15-20mph. Awesome day.

First Up was the swiss fish and the sweasel.

Then out with the high wind ships as the thermal activity intensitied and lift became ballistic.

A Break in the Rain

Its been raining a lot. But eventually the heavens parted. Lift was great and the sun was out. The Swiss Fish was flying low low low.

Sunbatics – Swiss Fish on Acid

Sunbatics is aerobatics with a glider (unpowered), performed with the sun as a backdrop. Using the sun and the close up shots of the glider makes for an interesting and sometimes trancelike watching experience. Which is the aim of sunbatics. Lift was smooth and straight on the slope, and about 15mph, the optimum for the swiss fish, and more than enough for a some aerobatics. Recorded on 808#16 mini cam on my PGA tour cap.

Rewind

And now for something completely experimental, some ultrabatics backwards.
The end result i think is super cool!

Sunbatics with Swiss Fish Light

Sunbatics is ultrabatics with a glider (unpowered), performed with the sun as a backdrop. Using the sun and the close up shots of the glider makes for an interesting and sometimes trancelike watching experience. Which is the aim of sunbatics.

Had a fabulous evening enjoying the versatility of the swiss fish light in marginal conditions, wind was 45 degrees of the slope, and she loved it. Got really connected and it was shame that the sun finally set and the sun-batics were curtailed.

Beautiful light and sunset made the evening.

Sun Batics (aerobatics in the sun)

The good autumn weather continues in the UK (for now).
Some flying close to the sun. I suspect this sort of aerobatics will be shortly curtailed as winter approaches…
Lift was poor, wind was about 45 off slope, about 8mph, the odd late day thermal.

Sunset

I grabbed a spare hour and headed to the local slope watch the sunset. Scratching for lift was required as the wind was light, and 45 degrees off the main slope, the thermals had all but gone. The scenery and the lighting made the evening.

Goto to VIMEO for glorious 1080P HD.
