ASW20 Duet at the Long Mynd

Some big scalies, a big hill and big fun.

Both ASW20′s are 1/4 scale and are 4.2m wingspan.

Wind was about 10-12mph.

ASW 20 4.2m 1/4 Scale

This is a model i was very lucky to obtain second hand. It is a beautifully finished full house scale glider, made my Glasflugel of Germany in the 1980s. It is fully moulded and my favourite model.

After some refurbishment, including a fit out with new digital servos all round, it was finally flown at Long Mynd, Wind 18-20 mph. It is 1/4 scale.

The model is the version with the wing tips extension, the full size being 16.68m wingspan.

Here is the video.
